Claiming Crown Day to Feature Ultimate Handicappers Open

Shakopee, MN -- Canterbury Park, in conjunction with the NTRA, will be offering a handicapping contest on Claiming Crown Day with a guaranteed first prize of $50,000, along with three entries to the $750,000 Daily Racing Form National Handicapping Championship. The contest requires $1,000 dollar fee, of which 100% will be paid out in a guaranteed $50,000 first prize, and a $1,000 live bankroll that will be used to wager on the contested races. The contest will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2006, the day of
the Claiming Crown. The seven Claiming Crown races, along with the Lady Canterbury Breeders’ Cup will be used for wagering. The top five finishers will receive payouts and the top three finishers qualify for the $750,000 National Handicapping Championship. Act soon; the tournament will be capped at 120 entries.
